“My husband, Eric, and I decided we'd like to have a doula and actually didn't come across Jessica upon our initial doula search. We contracted another doula, who informed us that she'd be out of town 10 days before our due date, and that during that time Jessica would be our back up doula. Jessica came to the meeting with our doula, and we all hit it off right away. My husband and I felt very lucky that we felt so comfortable with our original doula as well as our back up doula, Jessica. Well, I ended up going into labor the day after my doula left town, so I called Jessica to let her know we needed her. We cannot express just how thankful we are for all her hard work during the birth! I did a hypnobabies birth and she was amazing during the entire thing. Jessica kept me very calm and relaxed with her hours of back massage that I would have died without! She also did as much as she could to keep Eric involved. She helped him do the counter pressure which was really nice. After the birth, Jessica took some pictures that we will always treasure. She also kept a birth log throughout the labor, which was nice to read. You don't remember some of the funny little moments that happen during labor, but since Jessica wrote them down I can read her notes and think back on all the special moments of our daughter, Kadyn's, birth. I highly recommend Jessica to anybody and everybody! We absolutely loved having her there, and are so thankful she was there to help us through such a special time.”

“Jessica was absolutely instrumental in allowing me to achieve the natural, med-free birth I dreamed about for the birth of my second child. Before meeting Jessica I had doubts whether I would be able to handle the pain of childbirth to go without an epidural. From the very first interview, Jessica put me at ease and I knew I wanted ...her to be part of my birth team. I could tell from the very beginning that not only did she have a passion for childbirth and helping women during labor, but she was also a good fit for my personality. I knew that Jessica would fit perfectly into the kind of fun birth I envisioned. Jessica thoroughly took the time during prenatal appointments to really get to know my husband and I, the kind of birth we wanted, and how we saw a doula fitting in to our birth plan. She offered unbiased information on several subjects we asked her about and went out of her way to keep tabs on how I was feeling when I went past my due date. The actual birth was amazing and perfect, and I attribute a lot of that to feeling safe and supported by my birth team. Jessica was a rock and kept me calm and grounded when I truly needed the extra reassurance. I experienced some emergency complications about three hours postpartum and again Jessica really stepped up and went the extra mile for us. “I don't know what I would have done without Jessica! My son arrived nine days past due. Jessica kept me sane while I waited. When the time finally came, I had a long and challenging labor that lasted over 24 hrs. (including one pre-mature trip to the hospital). Jessica remained patient and encouraging the entire time. During labor I went deep into myself and was not always able to verbalize my needs. Jessica's intuition was amazing. She instinctively knew what I needed and helped me find my inner strength. When she wasn't talking or helping me breathe through a contraction, I felt that just her physical presence in the room was enough to keep me calm and focused. In the end, the VBAC I was hoping for did not work out. Jessica continued to support me in the OR and stay with me after surgery. She went above and beyond by keeping a birth log and taking pictures. The images she captured will be treasured forever. My favorite one is of my son when he was finally put on my chest and he is looking up at me with an expression that says "you did it mom!" I highly recommend Jessica to anyone considering hiring a doula. She has a unique gift and this is truly her calling!”
